Baylis Day Surgery offers Monday - Friday, No Weekends/No On-Call 

* Successful completion of a formal Surgical Technologist program, and/or previous surgical technologist experience is REQUIRED *

The Surgical Technologist performs “scrub” technologist duties for scheduled surgeries in the Baylis Day Surgery Operating Room and assists with the draping and utilization of instruments for a particular surgery and age of the patient serviced. Demonstrates knowledge in the basic principles of sterile technique and sterilization procedures. Clinical ladder advancement opportunities available.

The Baylis Day Surgery Department provides outpatient surgeries in the specialties that include, but aren’t limited to Plastics, Orthopedics, General, Urology, Breast, Gynecology, ENT, Ophthalmology, Dental and Pain Management. The Baylis Registered Nurse (RN) encompasses continuity of care from admission though discharge process.  The Pre/Post Op Nurse admits and prepares patients for surgical procedures, and later recovers for discharge. While the Circulator Nurse escorts the patient to the OR and then will position, prep, and serve as the liaison between the surgeon and family members, keeping the family up to date. Upon completion of the procedure, the Circulator Nurse will transfer the patient to the stretcher and take to the recovery room.
