SURGICAL TECHNOLOGIST, OPERATING ROOM (OR), TAYLORVILLE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL - 20794
Taylorville, IL** $20,000 Sign On Bonus Available for Experienced or New Graduate Surgical Technologists **
Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift, No Weekends/Call/Holidays
* Successful completion of a formal Surgical Technologist program, and/or previous surgical technologist experience is REQUIRED
Outpatient Surgical Technolgist, Taylorville Memorial Hospital - responsible for performing “surgical” technician duties, assisting with draping and the utilization of instruments for a particular surgery, with a basic knowledge of sterile technique and sterilization procedures. Qualifications
Education:
- A graduate of a formal Surgical Technologist program, or previous Surgical Technologist experience is required
- High-school graduate diploma
- Anatomy and Physiology class preferred
Licensure/Certification/Registry:
- CPR certification required, or obtained during nursing team onboarding process.
Experience:
- Previous experience in multiple surgical specialties is preferred
Responsibilities
- Performs duties in a capacity of “surgical” technician as prescribed by hospital policies and procedures
- Assists in the orderly functioning of the Surgery Department
- Performs appropriate intra-operative techniques to assist physician
- Pursues educational opportunities to maintain and expand personal and professional goals.
