A Cardiac Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for medical and surgical cardiac patients, and post-cardiac-cath patients; TAVR patients; ablation and vascular surgical patients, and also receives post-open heart patients.  The Cardiac Unit has Coronary Care Unit beds for closer observation of acute MI patients and those requiring IMC care with cardiac/vascular condition.   The cardiac cath patients include pacemaker/ICD placements and aneurysm repairs, as well as the traditional cardiac cath/stent placements.
