The Cardiovascular Surgical Technologist First Assist performs "scrub" and first assistant duties for scheduled surgeries in CVOR and assists with the draping, and utilization of instruments for a particular surgery. Also knowledgeable in the principles of sterile technique and sterilization procedures.
